Action fans rejoice – The Raid 2 has started shooting in Indonesia, and we’ve got the pictures to prove it. Well Heat Vision has more specifically, and you can feast your eyes on them by scrolling down.
The eagerly anticipated sequel – which will once again be directed by Gareth Evans – kicks off moments after the first film ends, and follows the brutal efforts of cop Rama (martial arts marvel Iko Uwais) to bring down a Jakarta crime syndicate.
Evans revealed that the Indonesian title will be The Raid 2: Berandal – which literally translates as ‘thug’ – with Rama having to get in touch with his inner thug “to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force.”
The film will shoot for a whopping 100 days, with Evans saying “To all our fans, thank you so much for your support. We can’t wait to come back and show you what we have been working on. We’ll be there in 2014 with a bigger film, better and bloodier.”
