Rayman Legends' Challenge Mode Coming to Wii U This April for Free

Rayman Legends is no longer a Wii U exclusive, and the game will not be coming out till later this year (presumably to get PS3 and Xbox 360 versions up to speed), so to ease the wait Ubisoft is releasing the game's online Challenge mode this April for free.

Challenges will be created daily in 5 different settings, with one of them – the Dungeon – being a Wii U exclusive, also. The mode will be available to download from the Nintendo eShop.

The game was originally due to come out later this month, but a few weeks ago it was confirmed that the game would be delayed.

At the time, managing director of Ubisoft's French Studios, Xavier Poix, told IGN, “When we saw all the comments when we announced the game would be focused on Wii U, all of the people that have both the PlayStation 3 and 360 were really disappointed.

“So we thought it was making more sense to also bring the game to where it was originally from. That means Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So we decided to go for a multiplatform launch simultaneously.”
